17th September 2015, Edgis Sharing Session featured Christopher Lek from The Honeynet Project, to share with us how your 'enemy' is your best teacher.
In this talk, Christopher will provide an introduction to honeynet and a brief overview of different honeypot tools. He will also share about the Honeeepi project and his experience in the deployment of honeypots on Raspberry Pi, a credit card-sized single-board computer. Along with that, he will present findings from the honeypots and malware analysis approach.
About the Speaker
Christopher Lek has more than 13 years of IT experience. He graduated from Singapore Polytechnic and Nanyang Technological University and holds several certifications including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Christopher is a member of The Honeynet Project – Singapore Chapter and he was the workshop committee member for the 2014 Honeynet Project Workshop held in Warsaw, Poland.
