To Catch You Up

Here's a recap of our events from November 2023 to January 2024

November 2023

We kicked off November with a Crew Appreciation Dinner, celebrating our longstanding supporters who have contributed to shaping the initiatives within our volunteer-driven community. It was a heartwarming evening of reconnecting, games, and food.

Additionally, Div0 collaborated with Infoblox for our November meetup on Protective DNS and purple teaming. Ganesh Vikram from Infoblox shared on the pivotal role of Protective DNS in fortifying defenses against cyber threats, following which, Yu Pengfei from GovTech shared on "50 Shades of Purple" shedding light on the collaborative spirit of purple teaming.

December 2023

In December, N0H4TS, a Division Zero (Div0) quarter, hosted STANDCON 2023 which brought together cybersecurity enthusiasts for a day filled with insightful talks, engaging workshops, and lively discussions

Additionally, our End-of-Year Social, in collaboration with CREST and ICE71, was an absolute blast! The lively conversations, coupled with pizzas and beers, made for a memorable evening. A huge round of applause to everyone who joined us in supporting the Community Chest Singapore through our Social Charity Quiz. Thanks to your generosity, we hit our fundraising goal of $500!

But that wasn't all! Div0 x OffSec's Christmas Night Meetup was the perfect wrap-up for our year of engaging meetups. We enjoyed quizzes, delectable bites, and cheers to the lucky winners of OffSec’s PG Subscription!  Having Ning, the CEO of OffSec, share insights during an engaging fireside chat on cyber trends, OffSec's 2024 roadmap and more was an absolute privilege. Plus, members took home exclusive OffSec Christmas tees, making the night even more special.

January 2024

In our commitment to your professional growth, Div0 proudly launched a career series in collaboration with HRS Talents. This 6-part series aims to guide you through the complexities of the cybersecurity landscape, answering critical questions such as:

  •  Deciding the right cybersecurity domain for your career.

  •  How to prepare effectively for your chosen career path.

  •  What to expect after landing a technical role in the field.

On odd months (January, March, May, July, September, November), gear up for our Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) sessions! And on even months (February, April, June, August, October, December) we bring you A-Day-in-the-Life-of (ADL) workshops.

Our first session zoomed into the world of Digital Forensics Incident Response (DFIR) & Threat Hunting. Special thanks to our insightful panelists Benjamin Tan (CTO at INTfinity Consulting), Dawit Kim (Cyber Strategist & Market Lead, Defence at Booz Allen Hamilton), and Wang Qimin (Detection & Response Lead), moderated by Rowena Lee and Emil Tan. Thank you for an insightful evening!

Following the AMA, we dove into the technical realm with our first meetup of the year on ADCS Exploitation, Red Teaming LLM & Dissecting the Exploit on Beanstalk. Kudos to our speakers Joffrey Czarny, Alex Polyakov, and MetaRyuk, as well as our F&B sponsor Decentraland for making it an enriching session.

But that's not all! We also hosted our first Women in Cybersecurity meetup of 2024, where we had a blast exploring tools such as Flipper Zero and Proxmark. A huge thank you to Red Alpha Cybersecurity and DART for hosting us in their beautiful space.

We're excited to announce that we'll be holding more of these meetups, so do reach out if you'd like to join us!

A Big Thank You to Our Sponsors

We extend our gratitude to our Major Sponsor, Centre for Cybersecurity (CFC) and our Official Sponsors, Red Alpha Cybersecurity and ICE71 for their invaluable support.

Coming Next - SINCON 2024

A Big Thank You to Our Community

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Whether it's attending our meetups, participating in workshops, or engaging in thought-provoking discussions, you make Div0 the thriving community that it is.
